articles
I'm trying to get back into staying up to date with current events. My sister has NY Times, Atlantic, and Wall Street Journal subscriptions that I purloin off of her, and I recently purchased an academic subscription of the Economist. I'm trying to read NY Times' The Morning newsletter (free to subscribe by the way if you're interested) to get a general sense of the news and then read whatever interests me of the other three news outlets.
The Economist Games are a weapon in the war on disinformation

A fascinating article on games that are designed to help people identify misinformation.
The Verge All Mixed Up: How the shuffle button came to define modern-day media consumption

An interesting article about the shuffle button. I still remember being surprised when my partner, who is in the computer science field, told me that the shuffle button isn't truly random, something that is explored in this article.
WSJ ‘It’s a Mind-Altering Substance’: Why Women Turn to Lipstick in Tough Times

I can't say the WSJ writing about lipstick was on my bingo card for 2023, but it's an interesting article that goes through the history of lipstick.

"By your Side" by Ha Hyunsang
Seungmin is a fan of Ha Hyunsang (he covered "3108"), and so am I. I was sold when I discovered that Ha Hyunsang had covered Keane's "Everybody's Changing". This song is easy listening, and so soothing.
"Eyes Closed" by Ed Sheeran
I admittedly haven't listened to Ed Sheeran much since his freshman album +, although I'm a "Photograph" stan. I'm really enjoying this new offering from him, and in fact attended one of his pop-up concerts which was essentially a listening party for his new album - which was honestly a brain-altering experience. I am very much looking forward to the official release of the album.
